Harbour House Shooting and Sports Club is is a family run shooting and archery range located in Athy, County Kildare in the south west of Ireland. They offer a safe and controlled environment where visitors have the chance to engage in the sport of rifle, shotgun, pistol or archery shooting. They endeavour to provide professional tuition in all areas of these disciplines with safety being of maximum importance. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, and will allay any worries visitors may have, putting them at ease.
The set up is excellent, there are five ranges that range from 25 metres to 100 metres which accomodate both pistol and rifle shooting. As well as a sheltered archery range and clay shooting range, permitting all weather participation. The club is open to both members and non-members although pistol shooting is restricted to members only. There are courses and tuition available for those who want to learn more about this sport, the teachers are excellent with boundless patience. They provide the guns and all safety equipment. It certainly makes for an interesting and fun activity to do.
There is a welcoming clubhouse that is available to all who come here, as well as tea and coffee making facilities in the waiting area.
The club are also registered firearms dealers, and have a large range of rifles, shotguns, pistols and ammunition. They also offer storage facilities for firearms. In addition they offer shooting clinics where individuals can learn safe firearms handling, how to store your firearms safely and learn to shoot.
Harbour House Shooting and Sports are open seven days a week.
