Terms and Conditions

1. Prices:

  • All prices quoted by our company unless otherwise clearly indicated are in EURO.
  • All prices published are strictly subject to availability.
  • All prices quoted are per person and are based on Twin/Double occupancy.
  • A single supplement will apply.
  • Payments must be processed in EURO unless otherwise advised on our website www.fairwaysandfundays.com.

2. Accuracy and Information:

Fairways and FunDays has taken all care to ensure that published information and prices are accurate. However, if we identify an error or omission following publication, we will inform you before confirming your booking.

The revised information will then form part of your contract. If an error or omission is
discovered after your booking is made, we will always try to advise you prior to your holiday.

3. Deposit/Payment Schedule:

A 25% non-refundable deposit is required upon booking. The remaining balance is required 8 weeks prior to travel.

On some occasions, special promotions may be offered for online bookings where a small non-refundable
deposit is required at time of Booking. The balance of a 25% deposit on the full cost of the Tour is required
4 weeks after the payment of the initial small deposit. This is also Non-Refundable. In this instance, the schedule of payments are as follows:

  • Small deposit at time of booking
  • Balance of 25% deposit required 4 weeks later
  • Remaining balance due 8 weeks prior to arrival date

100% Payment is required where a reservation is made within 8 weeks of arrival date.

A reservation will not be considered confirmed until such time as the deposit has been cleared and a Reservation Reference number and email confirmation is issued.

An initial deposit will be returned in the event that Golf Courses listed in the relevant Tour or suitable
accommodation is not available.

4. Payment Method:

Payments may be made by the following:

  • Credit card (MasterCard, Visa or American Express
  • Debit Card (Maestro, Switch, Electron, Solo and Delta)
  • Bank Transfer (Bank Transfers to be paid in EURO)
  • PayPal

A fee of 3% applies to all Credit Card, Debit Card and PayPal payments.

In such cases, this fee will be clearly explained before the booking is completed. This fee is NOT charged by
Fairways and FunDays, and is charged by the relevant payment processing companies.

Where payments are made by Bank Transfer, clients must make payment in EURO and are liable for any
charges incurred by their own Bank in processing this payment.

5. Payment Currency:

All payments will be in EURO unless otherwise clearly stated.

6. Booking Confirmation:

On receipt of your payment via the methods stated above, we will email confirmation of your booking with Fairways and FunDays.

The confirmation will clearly state the balance to be paid and the date by which it is due. Please ensure that all details on this confirmation are correct.

In the unlikely event that your confirmation appears to be incorrect or incomplete please contact a member of our team immediately and we will endeavour to make the necessary changes.

Fairways and FunDays reserve the right to make changes to and correct errors after bookings have been
confirmed.

7. Cancellations:

All cancellations must be submitted via Fax, letter or e-mail to Fairways and FunDays and are subject to the
following cancellation charges:

From time of booking to 8 weeks prior to date of arrival - Deposit only.

  • 22 days to 56 days prior to date of arrival – Deposit and an additional 10% of total tour price.
  • 14 days to 21 days prior to date of arrival – 50% of the total tour price.
  • 7 days to 13 days prior to date of arrival – 75% of the total tour price.
  • Less than 7 days prior to date of arrival – 100% of the total tour price.

8. Changes/Amendments:

Changes or amendments can be made to a reservation subject to availability. All changes/amendments must
be submitted via Fax or e-mail to Fairways and FunDays.

Changes/amendments will only be deemed to have been received by Fairways and FunDays once we acknowledge this with a confirmation email to the lead named traveller in your group.

Amendments include:

  • Number of persons in the group.
  • Names of persons in the group.
  • Tour Dates.
  • Tee-times, courses, etc.

No amendment fee will apply for the first amendment to a Tour

A €25 per amendment fee will apply to each subsequent change made after a booking has been confirmed.

All Tours will be re-priced at the time the changes are made, which may result in a price difference from the original price quoted.

Changes or amendments less than 45 days prior to travel, cannot be made without the approval of Fairways and FunDays.

All amendments are strictly subject to availability.

Amendments which cannot be made due to non-availability are not eligible for refund.

9. 110% Price Promise:

Fairways and FunDays offer a 110% Price Promise policy that our prices will not be beaten by any of our competitors.

This policy means that if you can find a lower price on an identical package from another Tour Operator within 7 days of confirming your Tour, we will match this price and refund you an additional 10% on the overall tour price.

Written evidence of this lower price must be provided to Fairways and FunDays.

10. Refunds:

All eligible refunds for cancellations will be issued within 30 days of written notification. No refunds are made for any unused portion of any Tour.

11. Flight Reservation Facility:

Fairways and FunDays provides a flight reservation service via our website flights.fairwaysandfundays.com

This service is provided solely for client convenience and is provided through Flight Reservation engine Sky Scanner.

Fairways and FunDays accept no responsibility for any issues that may arise through flights booked via our website.

If you are unsure about any aspect in relation to flights or travel, please speak with a member of our team.

Flights reserved via this link do not form part of our 110% Price Promise.

12. Rental Vehicles:

All Car rentals include:

  • Unlimited mileage.
  • Local taxes.

Non US or Canadian clients also have Standard Insurance with excess on Policy included. It is recommended that additional insurance be taken out which will cover the excess on any claims. This is completely at the discretion of the Client and is an arrangement between the client and Car Rental firm.

A valid Driving license is required prior to renting a car in Ireland. A valid Driving Licence is required for each person who intends driving the vehicle.

A supplement will be incurred for additional drivers. Minimum and maximum driver age restrictions apply (25 to 70 years).

Car Rental for persons outside of this age bracket can be organised but an additional Rental supplement will apply.

Any endorsements on a Driving licence must be advised at the time of booking. Failure to do so may affect your entitlement for car rental.

13. Chauffeur Drive:

Where a client opts for a Chauffeur Drive Tour, a private Vehicle suitable for the group size and a Professional Driver will be included. The client(s) will have full private use of this Vehicle and Driver for a maximum of 9 hours per day. Any additional time outside of this 9 hours where the driver or vehicle is required is not included in Tour price. Clients may make private arrangements with Drivers for additional hours.

A private Return Transfer to departure airport is included in all Chauffeur Drive Tours.

14. Travel Insurance:

Fairways and FunDays highly recommend that all travellers should take out personal travel insurance to cover loss, damage or theft of luggage, personal injury, illness or accident. Fairways and FunDays is not liable for any of the above and is not liable should a client decide not to take such an insurance policy.

Fairways and FunDays strongly recommend that you obtain golf travel insurance. Some insurance companies may consider the game of golf as a dangerous sport and you should mention your participation when obtaining a quotation. You should also ensure that your golf equipment is covered in the policy in the unlikely event of theft, loss or damage.

We strongly recommend that all clients from EU Countries have in their possession a valid European Health Insurance Card.

15. Golf Related Issues:

We cannot accept any responsibility in any ruling by the hotel/golf course if you or any of your group is unable to play due to inappropriate attire.

Please check before you travel that your group is aware of appropriate golfing attire.

Knowledge of golf etiquette and the rules of golf are expected by all members of your group. Some golf courses will require handicap certificates before accepting visitors, which we will try to advise you of at the time of booking. If you are unsure of any issues in relation to appropriate attire or on course etiquette, please consult with a member of our team prior to departure.

Golf courses reserve the right to alter confirmed tee times. If your confirmed golf club cancel your reservation or change your tee time we will attempt to find a suitable alternative. Such changes do not entitle you to cancel a holiday that is part of a package.

Please also be aware that some golf courses may pair you up with other golfers during peak times.

The condition of golf courses varies throughout the year. General golf course maintenance on tee boxes, fairways and greens are an essential feature of golf course preparation. Fairways and FunDays are not responsible for the impact of such work.

16. Complications due to adverse Weather conditions:

Inclement weather is unavoidable during the course of the year and as a result golf courses may either close, or the golf course may choose to operate temporary tees and greens at their sole discretion. All Golf courses reserve the right to close or operate temporary tee boxes and greens.

In the event of bad weather our “Adverse Weather Policy” is as follows:

Should you choose not to travel, subject to the policy of our supplier’s (Hotels, Golf Courses, Transportation Providers etc.) we will endeavour to postpone your golf holiday. If this is possible, price supplements may be incurred. Refunds are not available under any circumstance for cancellations made due to golf course closure.

During your Golf Holiday

Golf played on temporary greens and tees is non-refundable and is considered to be an accepted part of playing golf during periods of poor weather. Please note that restrictions on the use of trolley’s and buggy’s occurs frequently during inclement weather at the advice of the local course superintendent. Fairways and FunDays cannot be held responsible for such occurrence.

If you are unable to play golf on your holiday due to golf course closure we will, without guarantee and at our supplier’s discretion, attempt to obtain green fee vouchers for the golf element of your tour.

Each hotel and golf course sets its own “Bad Weather Policy”. All decisions regarding green fee vouchers are solely at the discretion of the golf course and are final. Fairways and FunDays cannot be held responsible should inclement weather prevail. Any vouchers issued at the Company’s discretion can be used for future bookings with Fairways and FunDays.

17. Passports, Visas and Health Requirements:

A passport is necessary to travel to all European countries, even when travelling within the European Union area. A passport is not always necessary to travel between Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland, but Fairways and FunDays recommends that all travellers carry a valid passport with them on their holiday.

We strongly recommend that all clients from EU Countries have in their possession a valid European Health Insurance Card.

Certain countries require a pre-arranged entry visa to enter the Republic of Ireland or Northern Ireland. Fairways and FunDays accept no responsibility for visa requirements, and advises all travellers to ensure that required documentation are in place prior to travel.

18. Amendments and Cancellations by Fairways and FunDays:

Fairways and FunDays reserves the right to make amendments to, and correct errors on our website and in any of our brochures or publicised materials both before and after bookings have been confirmed.

19. Special Requests and Medical Problems:

If you have any special requests (for example due to Medical complications), you must advise a member of our team at the time of booking. Although we will always endeavour to meet any such requests we cannot guarantee to do so if our Suppliers are not in a position to assist with these requests.

20. Descriptions:

The descriptions of the hotels and golf courses and other aspects of our tours are based on opinions gained on site visits and on the opinions of suppliers themselves. We are not always able to exercise control over all the components of the holiday arrangements and it is possible that an advertised amenity be withdrawn or changed due to various reasons such as water conservation, renovation work, etc. We will advise you if we become aware of a major change but we cannot accept liability for loss, damage or inconvenience in such circumstances.

21. Behaviour:

By booking with Fairways and FunDays, you accept full liability for any damage or loss caused by you or any member of your group. There will be no refunds for any absence from the holiday once this commences. This includes items such as missed meals, golf, sightseeing or any other activities in the tour.

Fairways and FunDays is not responsible for personal injury, accident, or illness; or for loss, damage or theft of personal belongings.

22. Extras consumed by Clients:

Please note that all extra's consumed by clients which are not directly included in Client itinerary, such as Food, Drink, Entertainment, Spa Treatments and Transportation must be paid for directly by you. The elements included in your tour booking with Fairways and FunDays strictly only include the items set out in your confirmation email and invoice.

Fairways and FunDays accept no liability for any charges you consume in relation to any extras outside of your confirmed tour package.

23. Responsibility:

Fairways and FunDays act solely as an agent for chosen transport suppliers, accommodations, and golf green fees, tourist attractions, entertainment centres etc., and as such accepts no responsibility for:

  • Any loss of/or damage to property or injury to any person caused by reason of any defect. Negligence, or other wrongful act or omission of, or any failure of performance of any kind by: any transportation company; vendor or supplier.
  • Any inconvenience or loss of enjoyment.
  • Any delayed departure, missed connections; substitutions of accommodations, terminations of service, or change in fares or rates.
  • Any cancellation or double bookings of reservations or tickets beyond the control of Fairways and FunDays The company does not accept the responsibility for losses or additional expenses due to delays or changes, quarantine, sickness, strikes, war, weather, acts of God or other causes. Such losses or expenses will have to be borne by the client.

24. Website and other Promotional Material:

Fairways and FunDays has taken all care to ensure that published information is accurate on www.fairwaysandfundays.com and in other promotional material. Fairways and FunDays accept no responsibility for accidental minor inaccuracies in the information on our website or in our promotional material.

25. Promotions and Competitions:

All Promotions and Competitions which are run through our website www.fairwaysandfundays.com, through our Social Media channels or through other promotional material are subject to immediate cancellation without notification.

26. Force Majeure:

Fairways and FunDays will not be liable for additional expenses incurred through travel delay, Acts of God, force majeure or events beyond our control. Force majeure is unusual and unforeseeable circumstances beyond our control such as war or threat of war, riots, civil unrest, terrorist activity, industrial disputes, natural or nuclear disaster, fire or adverse weather conditions.

27. Complaints:

Fairways and FunDays act only as an agent for each hotel/accommodation provider/golf course/tourist attraction/car rental firm/entertainment centre etc. If you have a complaint or experience any problems during your holiday with any aspect of these providers we encourage that you raise your issue with the on duty Manager at that location. If you do not reach an acceptable conclusion during your holiday please notify us in writing or email within 7 days of your date of the conclusion of your tour.
